Functions:
- Represent the Department of Defense on both the Chief
Financial Officers Council and the Federal Accounting
Standards Advisory Board
- Formulate and promulgate DoD-wide financial management policies
- Oversee the implementation of accounting and finance operations and
the development of accounting and finance systems
- Implement and/or oversee various initiatives for improving financial management
- Perform financial management analysis
- Maintain an interface between the USD(C) and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service and the Defense Contract Audit Agency
- Implement the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act
