FMR Alert Messages

April 2015

04/10/2015: The Volume 5, Disbursing Policy streamlining initiative was completed and the new Volume 5 is now published on the FMR website. This initiative reorganized data to eliminate duplication and improve clarity for the reader. As a result, the new Volume 5 has been reduced by ten chapters and over 200 pages. This is the first major reorganization since its inception on the internet in 1997. A crosswalk table is included that identifies the transition of subject matter from the old to the new location. The crosswalk document is also posted on the FMR website with the Volume 5 chapters.

June 2014

06/12/2014: Implementation of the newly designed FMR website takes place on June 19, 2014. The new design will provide three-tiered access to the FMR as (1) individual chapter files, (2) consolidated volume files, and (3) the entire Regulation consolidated as a single file. On the day of implementation between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, you may experience a delayed response or lack of response on the website as the pages transition to the new design. We appreciate your patience during the implementation and look forward to your feedback.

April 2014

04/28/2014: On January 30, 2014, the DoD FMR website migrated to the American Forces Public Information Management System, Content Management System, hosted by the Defense Media Activity.  After the migration, you may have experienced technical issues when visiting the website.  The post-migration technical issues have been resolved.  For questions, please contact us at: DoD FMR Feedback.

February 2014

02/20/2014: The Volume 9 “Forms Index” chapter is cancelled. Applicable travel form references and hyperlinks have been incorporated into the Volume 9, “Travel Policy” chapters.

02/06/2014: Congress is retiring the Thomas.gov website, launched in 1995, at the end of 2014. It is transitioning to the new replacement site at http://congress.gov. The new site was launched in beta form in 2013 and will remain a beta site until Thomas.gov is permanently retired. Visit the new site for more information.

September 2013

09/27/2013: The House Law Revision Counsel implemented a new and improved website on August 19, 2013 that provides a user-friendly method to search U.S. Code and other user research tools - their first major website change since 1995! We are aware of this enhancement and updating the reference links in the DoD FMR.

You can access this new page directly at http://uscode.house.gov/ or on the Library of Congress THOMAS web page using the "U.S. Code" link.

09/27/2013: The Treasury Department formed a new "Bureau of the Fiscal Service" http://www.fiscal.treasury.gov/ - a consolidation of the "Financial Management Service" and "Bureau of Public Debt."

09/27/2013: The DoD FMR website search result is identifying volumes rather than individual chapters. This will be resolved with the implementation of the new DoD FMR website coming soon.
